on Grapeview Island, WA. We went up from Battle Ground, WA almost every other weekend during the summer when I was growing up.

This is the cabin that was built in 1972 after the old house was sold. It looks out toward the water.

My Aunt Eva Jean and her grandson, Colton, out rowing the boat. I always enjoyed rowing when I was young. We used to take the boat around the island.
This is called a Geo (gooey) Duck. While walking along the shore when the tide is out, watch for the squirt and dig like mad. Careful not to cut the neck off or crush the shell. Makes excellent clam chowder.
